Yes, children aged 8 years and above can undertake a Bridge Walk experience. All Bridge Walk guests must be over 48″ tall. Our Bridge Walk guests have been 8-97!

Absolutely! Many seniors enjoy the Bridge Walk experience. We welcome participants of all ages who are reasonably fit and strong, with full hand-eye coordination and body control. If you can handle moderate physical activity for 2–2-1/2 hours and walk 1¼ miles, you’ll likely find the Bridge Walk to be an exhilarating experience.

Yes, pregnant women are welcome to participate. However, we strongly recommend consulting with your healthcare provider before booking your walk to ensure it’s the right choice for you.

Yes! We welcome guests of all abilities and are proud to have hosted participants using canes and prosthetics. Your ability to participate depends on your individual situation.
In general, you should have:
- A reasonable level of fitness and strength
- Full body control and coordination
- The ability to stand independently
However, certain conditions may affect your ability to participate safely, including:
- Heart conditions (including high blood pressure)
- Respiratory conditions
- Use of prosthetics or missing limbs
- Vertigo, dizziness, or balance issues
- Visual impairments
- Recent surgery (within the past month)
- Seizures (within the past 6 months)

It depends on the nature and severity of the injury. Injuries involving broken bones or affecting the back, limbs, or joints may limit your ability to participate safely. If you’re recovering from an injury, we recommend speaking with your healthcare provider before booking your walk.

The Bridge Walk is a unique and exhilarating experience that includes:
- Inclined walking trails and grated decks
- A walk of over ½ mile on a 2-foot-wide catwalk beneath the bridge
- A total walking distance of approximately 1¼ miles
- Breathtaking aerial views from an exposed, elevated location
- Uneven surfaces and narrow passageways
- Full exposure to the elements—rain, wind, cold, snow, and sun – until you’re under the bridge, which is West Virginia’s biggest umbrella!
Challenging weather conditions can add an extra sense of adventure and exhilaration. We recommend dressing appropriately and being prepared for a variety of weather scenarios.

Yes—Bridge Walk encourages you to bring your own camera to capture your experience! There are plenty of opportunities for stunning and memorable photos.
However, all cameras and binoculars must be securely attached to you using a strap, harness, or mount. This is for your safety and the safety of others below. Loose or handheld cameras or binoculars are not permitted on the walk.

Can I bring glasses or sunglasses?
Yes, you can wear glasses or sunglasses during the walk. We offer lanyards for sale that will help keep your glasses or sunglasses in place throughout the experience.Please note: Sunglasses are not necessary on the catwalk, as it is shaded beneath the bridge.
